Hypnosis and it's uses

I have been using Hypnosis, to perform past Life Regressions for over 25 years. HOWEVER, Hypnosis has many other useful purposes. I have used hypnosis to help people overcome fears, stop smoking, loose weight. I have even used it in some "stage" performances to show how easy someone can be put into "trance".

Now I am by now means an Expert on the subject as there are others out there that are far better than I but you don't hear much if anything about Hypnosis anymore. Why is that? Is Hypnosis becoming ancient and non existent? While it is still used in the field of mental health, you don't hear of the "Stage Hypnotist" hardly anymore. I still do past Life Regressions on a regular basis, but there isn't any word out there about how Hypnosis can be used to help someone who could benefit from its results. Is it because there are medications being used, or could it be that Hypnosis is just becoming a dieing art?

I recently read an article that I am posting here on the use of Hypnosis in Past Life regression, to give you an Idea of what it is I do. I hope you enjoy it.

Forgive me for asking but are you high?

Stage hypnosis is experiencing one of the most explosive growth periods in its entire history right now! It seems like every Tom, Dick and Harriet is jumping on the "Hypno-Bandwagon" and trying to ride it into the bank - with highly varying results.

From a kid on YouTube whose hypnotic stunts were SO dangerous, from a physical standpoint that he finally was convinced to take them down when one of his friends fell into a ditch when he triggered ANOTHER friend, for example, to the various "Derren Brown wannabes" who imitate this great MAGICIAN who has fooled EVERYBODY into believing that what he's doing is hypnosis - when he's NOT!

Which is why I started teaching Stage Hypnosis Safety Classes a number of years ago (I was the FIRST as a matter of fact) and why insurance companies are requiring them now.

Post proms, grad nights, college freshman orientation shows, night clubs, private parties, corporate events and even radio and TV are featuring hypnotists all the time.

I would suggest that you try doing a little research before making such a sweeping statement in the future.

While I respect your opinion I must disagree with your logic. I have been doing hypnosis for over 20 years, focusing MOST of my talent on past life regressions which are VERY lucrative. Stage Hypnosis as you know is a very difficult field to break into especially on the college circuit. You are right that everyone is trying to get into the "business" but in my area of the country Hypnosis (stage and other forms) IS all but totally non existant. There are a few straggling hypnotists and wanna be's who may POP up now and again but they are very few and far between, so I am correct is asking is Hypnosis a dead art? I can easily go out and book 15 "Stage hypnosis" shows RIGHT now but after they are done, after about a week of Glory "NOTHING"....Until rebooks come in IF they come in....I have done research on this in my particular area of expertese and no one is doing "Stage" or other forms of hypnosis ANYWHERE in this area of the USA (the Northeast)....

Well, it IS possible that the reason you don't hear much about stage hypnosis being done in your area is that much of the work in your area is being done at private events and corporate parties, where advertising and promotion to the public simply is NOT done or necessary.

In fact, judging from the blogs and calendars of my stage colleagues who work primarily IN that region, that is precisely the case.

As to your being able to "book 15 stage hypnosis shows right now.. and then nothing until the re-bookings come in - IF they come in," well that might point to something to do with your show not being what the audience was prepared to see.

And that is NOT meant as a dis to your show. We both know that there are several sure-fire "show killers" out there, including springing a hypnotist on an unsuspecting audience, which is probably the fastest way to get an audience to go into vapor-lock with regards to participating that there is out there, among many others.

But, looking at the blogs of my colleagues out your way, they seem very busy, so I do have to wonder at your level of "research.

Respectfully,
